'Medical imaging combines my interest in physics and anatomy with my passion for helping others. At QUT we have practical sessions that develop our techniques in radiography, before teaching principles of problem solving. The placement opportunities are what I look forward to most each semester. Radiography is a very practical career and I feel like I learn and grow the most as a student participating in practicals and placement.'

Excellent facilities
'QUT labs feature industry-standard equipment, like X-ray machines, that are used in real radiology departments. So I can learn and practise the essential skills before going out to clinical placement. Practicing on proper equipment in a comfortable environment with the supervision of our lecturers and tutors, means I am better prepared for clinical placements and my future career.'

Quality university experience
'I chose to study at QUT because the university has a good reputation and one of the best medical imaging courses in Australia. Practical classes in the medical imaging laboratory are my favourite parts of my course. I can still remember the first time seeing the machine and taking my very first X-ray. It is a truly unique experience. I recommend studying at QUT because the university offers an amazing study experience.'
Hung Ming (Dexter) Ng, Hong Kong Bachelor of Medical Imaging (Honours) student
'The university is equipped with modern X-ray technology, which enables us to build skills using the machinery that we will be interacting with as future professional radiographers. It is a blessing to be taught by professionals who are closely related to the radiography field as we are always provided with up-to-date information on any changes, advancements, and various imaging techniques taking place in this field.'
Shruty Anghnoo, Mauritius Bachelor of Medical Imaging (Honours) student
'From the first year, I had the opportunity to participate in placements across various hospitals and clinics. Engaging with real patients and working under the supervision of experienced professionals allowed me to apply my learning in real-world scenarios, which is vastly different from role-playing or working with dummies.'
Seungbeom (Sam) Park, South Korea Bachelor of Medical Imaging (Honours) student
'I chose the Bachelor of Medical Imaging (Honours) at QUT because I found myself highly interested in physics in the medical field. QUT have lots of hands-on opportunities throughout study, and learning through practical means and placements helps me learn faster, as we have chances to use the machines and better prepare for our future career.'
