Explore Your Future programs are designed for eligible schools, QUT Student Inclusion partner schools and community groups to participate. Schools can book in for a range of activities, including:

  • careers and pathways information sessions and activities
  • hands-on subject-specific workshops
  • mentorship from university students
  • on campus excursion experiences
  • culturally appropriate initiatives for Pasifika students.

The Explore Your Future Programs are available for QUT Student Inclusion partner schools. Our partner schools are allocated as part of the Queensland State-wide Widening Participation Consortium and fit criteria based on our mission to support students who are from underrepresented groups in higher education, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, low socioeconomic or regional/remote backgrounds.

If you are unsure if your school is eligible to participate, you can enquire by emailing exploreyourfuture@qut.edu.au

Get Uni Ready

Planning what to do after high school is an important decision. We want to help your students feel confident that they are on the right path with all the tools they need for success.

Launching in 2023, QUT's Widening Participation team will pilot a free Year 11–12 academic preparation program called Get Uni Ready. This program is for QUT's priority schools, and aims to enhance access and opportunity to QUT for those students who are traditionally underrepresented in higher education, such as first in family students.

The program will provide immersive and innovative opportunities to help students better understand their skills, interests and post-school options. We will help get students university ready; if and when they transition into their first year of university, they will have the skills and confidence they need for success.
