Cultural diversity

We have a strong commitment to develop a culturally diverse staff and student population, and eliminate racism on campus.

We recognise the importance of valuing diversity to create a vibrant, flexible and creative university culture, which encourages innovative approaches and enriches our work and study environment for everyone.

Racism: it stops with us

We are proud to support the Australian Human Rights Commission project 'Racism. It stops with me'. As signatories, we have publicly pledged our commitment to anti-racism, to raising awareness about racism and its effect on the community, and to giving staff and students the knowledge and practical skills to take action.

By endorsing the campaign, we will:

  • actively seek to help more people recognise that racism is unacceptable
  • give more people the tools and resources to act action against racism
  • empower people to prevent and respond effectively to racism.
