Dr Clare O'Farrell is a senior lecturer.Qualifications
- University of NSW: BA (Hons 1/1) - French and the History and Philosophy of Science
- University of Paris-VIII: DESU (Diplôme d'Etudes Supérieures d'Université) in Philosophy.
- ANU - History of Ideas Unit: PhD on the work of French philosopher Michel Foucault
Clare has conducted extensive work on the French philosopher Michel Foucault (1926-1984)
- has written two books on Foucault published by Macmillan (1989) and Sage (2005)
- edited a large volume of papers from a 1994 conference on Foucault's work
- translated a book from French. Foucault at the movies including all of Foucault's work on film.
- was a founding editor of the online international peer-reviewed journal, Foucault Studies from 2004-2008 and rejoined the journal as a co-editor in 2016
- runs a major website and news blog on Foucault
- runs a personal writing blog.
- She is currently translating another book of Foucault's work for Chicago University Press.
