Biography
Chanel is a teacher, musician, event organiser, and writer with a Master of Philosophy (QUT), a Graduate Diploma in Writing, Editing & Publishing (University of Queensland), and a Bachelor of Arts (James Cook University). She has a Cert IV in Adult Workplace Assessment and Training and a Cambridge Cert in Teaching English as a Second Language. She is also a AFHEA (Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Association).For the past twenty years she has worked as a workshop facilitator and trainer for organisations like Arts Queensland, Q Music, and local City Councils and Regional Councils. She has lectured in Music Business, Touring, Cultural Studies, Project Management, Entertainment Management, and in many first-year theoretical core subjects in Creative Practice and Media & Communications. In the rest of her life she is an internationally touring musician with her folk-pop band 'women in docs' and a freelance grant writer for arts organisations, businesses and individuals.
