Dr Jerry Ho

Biography
Dr. Jerry Ho is a Lecturer in Finance in the Faculty of Business and Law. Prior to joining QUT in 2014 he lectured at Massey University (New Zealand), Durham University (UK), and Purdue University (USA). Jerry holds a Ph.D. in Accounting and Finance from Durham University, UK and an MS in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA. He is also a fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK.
Jerry's research interests are primarily in behavioral finance and asset pricing. He is particularly keen to explore 1) the roles of investor sentiment and uncertainty measures in financial market anomalies, and 2) the impact of managerial ability on firm performance. His research outputs have appeared in various journals and international conferences. Jerry received two Best Paper Awards, including the Best Paper Award in the 2011 NTU International Conference on Economics, Finance, and Accounting (IEFA) and the Research Paper Award in the 2008 annual meeting of the Securities and Financial Markets (SFM).
