Biography
I have over 10 years of experience as an Epidemiologist, with a PhD and MPH(TropHlth) from UQ. In 2010 I was awarded a UQ Dean's Commendation for an Outstanding Research higher Degree Thesis.
I also have 18 years of experience in Emergency Nursing and International Health and have worked in both hospitals and remote health centres throughout Australia, NZ, and The Philippines, and also with the Australian Red Cross/ICRC in East Africa (Kenya, Sudan and Eritrea).
My research interests include life-course epidemiology, sexual health, psychiatric epidemiology and teaching evidence-based health care.
