Dr Lyndall Bryant

Biography
Dr Lyndall Bryant is a Senior Lecturer and researcher at QUT’s Business and Law Faculty, specialising in Property Economics. Recently returning to QUT, her career spans 20+ years in senior executive roles in the housing, finance and property development sectors as well as over a decade in academia. This diverse background gives Dr Bryant a unique insight into factors that drive housing and other property markets, as well as close linkage with industry.
Dr Bryant is a registered valuer (Qld) whose research interests lie in the wicked problem of housing affordability and effective housing supply. Her research sits at the juxtaposition of finance, economics, infrastructure and property values. She also has a special interest in the assets of the not for profit sector. Her work is focused on identifying barriers to effective urban development and providing impactful evidence-based research to inform policy makers.
She is the founder and Chair of the QUT Housing Researchers Network, a community of practice formed to collaborate, share knowledge, and generate transformative research to deliver tangible economic, environmental and societal benefits in relation to Housing.
Dr Bryant holds postgraduate qualifications from the Securities Institute of Australia (FINSIA) and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).

Dr Bryant sits on the Southern Downs Regional Council's Local Housing Action Plan Working Group and the St Vincent de Paul Toowoomba Diocese Property Working Group. She has been a non-executive director of Girl Guides Queensland and holds an Independent Chair appointment with the Department of Resources related to property valuation objections.
She has served on multiple industry committees and boards for: Australian Property Institute, Property Council of Australia, Urban Development Institute of Australia and the Pacific Rim Real Estate Society.Dr Bryant has a passion for mentoring young people and has been a QUT Mentor for the past 20 years.Publications
