Biography
Mica Fiorito is a renowned biotechnologist affiliated with the Queensland University of Technology, where she serves as a Research Assistant and PhD student.Educated at both Queensland University and Universidad Nacional de Rosario in Argentina, Mica's research focuses on engineering chemically induced dimerization platforms and protein purification.
She's presented her work at global conferences, contributed to significant research articles, and played instrumental roles at the Institute of Molecular and Cellular Biology in Argentina.
Additionally, as a Young Science Ambassador, Maria passionately promotes STEM education to the younger generation.

Teaching
Mica assisted the BVB330 Synthetic Genomics course in 2022, at the Queensland University of Technology.
In Argentina, from 2018 to 2019, she served as an Assistant of the 2nd Category in the Microbiology Area.
Furthermore, during 2018-2019, Mica assumed the role of Assistant of the 2nd Category, specifically for courses designed for 1st-year students.
Beyond these formal teaching roles, since 2023, Mica has been actively involved as a Young Science Ambassador with Wonder of Science, engaging with schools and assisting students in developing their STEM projects.
