Biography
Dr. Nisansala Kulathunga is a dedicated and accomplished academic professional with extensive experience in the fields of finance, economics and data analysis. Currently serving as Associate Lecturer, School of Economics and Finance at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), She brings years of expertise in curriculum development and instructional delivery that fosters an enriching learning environment within the field of Economics and Finance.
Her academic career starts with her Bachelor of Business Management Finance Special Degree (First Class) at University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. She joined the Department of Finance, University of Kelaniya as an Assistant Lecturer and was promoted to Senior Lecturer ‘Grade II’ during her tenure. She earned her Master of Business Management (MBA) in Finance from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. She embarked at her PhD studies at QUT's School of Economics and Finance and became a Sessional Academic, assisting other unit coordinators in Finance. She has been engaged with the school both as a tutor but also as a unit coordinator. She is Fellow of the Advanced Higher Education Academy (UK) and has served as a Keystone of Success Tutor for QUT’s Oodgeroo unit for several years.
