Biography
Nicole is a Lecturer in the Practical Legal Training (PLT) Course at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) Law School. Nicole is the Unit Coordinator of Civil Litigation and Career Skills and Coordinator of Lawyers Skills (Written Communication).Nicole holds Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Queensland. Nicole was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 1999 and as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 2001. Nicole worked as a solicitor primarily in the area of civil litigation in private practice, government and in-house corporate for over 10 years before joining the QUT Legal Practice Course in 2007.
Nicole is a PhD Candidate in the Humans Technology Law Centre in the QUT Law School researching law students’ perceptions of the integration of Generative AI (GenAI) tools for learning for the practice of law. Nicole has a special interest in creating meaningful learning experiences for law students to engage with GenAI to prepare them for practice in an evolving legal landscape.
