Biography
Dr. Ruchith Dissanayake is a Senior Lecturer in Finance in the School of Economics and Finance at the QUT Business School. Ruchith has a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Alberta, for which he won multiple awards including the AIMCo Scholarship in Finance and GRA Rice Graduate Scholarship in Business. He was a research scholar in Economics at the University of California, San Diego. Ruchith’s research is focused in three main streams of research, specifically: 1) theoretical and empirical asset pricing; 2) empirical corporate finance; and 3) international finance. His research papers have featured in some of the leading academic conferences in the world including the American Finance Association Conference, American Economic Association Conference, Northern Finance Association Conference, and China International Conference in Finance.
