Biography
Richard retired from the Royal Australian Air Force in early 2006 after almost thirty years service in a range of command, engineering, programme/project management, acquisition and logistics roles in both Australia and overseas.
During that time he received an MBE for services to engineering and an OAM for services to acquisition and logistics. His last Air Force appointment was Director of Acquisition and Logistics for the New Air Combat Capability program.
Before joining QUT, Richard was a Principal Consultant with SMS Management and Technology. Richard is a Chartered Professional Engineer and a Certified Practising Accountant. He also has project management accreditations from the Project Management Institute (PMP) and Australian Institute of Project Management (Master Project Director).
Richard has a research interest in the application of complexity theory to project management.
