Biography
Dr Victoria Coyne's main role is to help researchers at QUT understand the latest and most relevant sequencing technology to get the most out of their research. This also extends to other research institutions, government facilities and commercial companies. Victoria is the Senior Genomic Technologist within the Central Analytical Research Facility (CARF), which houses state-of-the-art equipment and expert technologists to offer transdisciplinary analytical support, including sample preparation, data collection and interpretation of results.Victoria completed her PhD in Genomics in 2016 at the University of Manchester, before moving to Brisbane and joining QUT. She now also teaches Forensics, using her knowledge of sequencing to help students understand how this is used in a Forensic environment.
