Biography
Wendy is a Lecturer for the Discipline of Pharmacy at Queensland University of Technology. She is passionate about pharmacy education and has over eight years of experience teaching pharmacy undergraduates and five years of coordinating pharmacy undergraduate units. Between April-November 2019 she was acting Course Coordinator of the pharmacy undergraduate program at QUT. She is an experienced clinical pharmacist with a post graduate diploma in clinical pharmacy. She has been registered as a pharmacist since 1994 and has a broad scope of experience as a practising pharmacist in hospital, community, and academia. She is passionate about contributing to the pharmacy profession which is demonstrated in her membership on the register of the Site Evaluation Team with the Australian Pharmacy Council. This team accredit degree and intern training programs in Australia. The term of this membership is until 31 December 2022. She takes a scholarly approach to learning and teaching and has completed a post graduate certificate in academic practice and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy UK. Her doctoral research is in the field of pharmacy education and explored the role of undergraduate education in developing a commitment to lifelong learning and continuing professional development. Her research interests are in the area of lifelong learning and continuing professional development.Personal details
