Integrated workplace project
The final unit of our MBA and Executive MBA programs consists of a workplace project.
This workplace project allows students to apply their learnings to address a work-based problem in either their own company or a sponsoring organisation.
Students have previously worked with corporate, non-profit, small and medium enterprise and public sector companies ranging from RACQ, Westfield, Mater, Queensland Ambulance Service, Tourism and Events Queensland, Urban Utilities and Central Australian Aboriginal Legal Aid Services (CAALAS).
Ideas Factory
Offered as an optional activity, the Ideas Factory is a one-day workshop where students have the opportunity to respond to an industry challenge.
This allows our students to work with an organisation on a real-world problem they’re facing, identifying key issues, developing potential solutions and presenting their recommendation.
This hands-on experience is a valuable opportunity for students to put their learnings into action.
Leadership coaching
Our Executive MBA students take part in an 8-month business leaders practicum, where they are paired with an executive advisor (C-suite mentor).
Over the course of the program students are coached by their C-suite mentor and have the opportunity to run panels with topics discussed in the program.
Alumni+
Alumni+ is an initiative that allows alumni of QUT's MBA or Executive MBA the opportunity for continued engagement and lifelong learning upon graduation.
Relive your MBA experience by participating in up to four MBA units per year. While you won't complete any assessment, you will engage with the students and lend your insights to the class.
