Biomechanics and Spine Research Group

The Biomechanics and Spine Research Group is a collaboration between Medical Engineering at QUT and the Spinal Orthopaedic Surgeons at the Queensland Children's Hospital. Our aim is to conduct quality research into paediatric spinal deformity and ensure patients receive the best management possible.

Teachers and Teaching

The Teachers and Teaching research group will seek to positively influence society through impactful research designed to: enhance the status and conditions of teachers’ work, contributing to workforce recruitment and retention; identify curricular, pedagogical and assessment practices that contribute to high quality educational experiences for all students; and address the educational needs of pre-service and practising teachers in the context of changing policy, curricular and societal expectations.

The QUT Centre for Biomedical Technologies aims to deliver better health in our lifetime, by improving how we treat complex medical cases stemming from injuries, infection and age-related issues.Our research and development focuses on better patient treatments and quality of life into the future using regenerative approaches, robotics and artificial intelligence, and advanced manufacturing to expand surgical possibilities and reduce complications.
