Bringing research to the public
Housed in our Science and Engineering Centre, The Cube allows for massive, digital display of research outcomes and initiatives. We’re integrating research thinking into our environment, creating an interactive space where innovation comes alive.
Research at your fingertips
The Cube is one of the world’s largest digital interactive display environments, reaching two storeys high, with 145m2 of high-definition interactive screens and ultra-HD projection.
Our researchers use The Cube to showcase and present their research outcomes. They also collaborate with partner institutions and Cube content developers to bring research to life and engage visitors in complex themes such as robotics, physics and palaeontology.

Engaging the community
The Cube is open to everyone, and we encourage school groups, university students and the general public to come and interact with its touch-screens and explore science and the world around them. We encourage our ‘citizen scientists’ to contribute to our research and discover an exciting, visual research environment.
By integrating our science and development into a prominent public space, we’re inspiring and engaging the next generation of researchers and innovators, and welcoming them into our QUT research space.
