We are excited to announce that in 2025 the QUT Accounting Challenge will be available for all Queensland high school students.
The QUT Accounting Challenge is a case study competition designed for year 9 and 10 business and accounting students and mapped to the Australian curriculum. The goal of the QUT Accounting Challenge is to reimagine student perceptions of accounting and inspire the next generation of accounting professionals. To do this, we ask students to step into the role of an accountant and work in small teams to tackle a real-world business problem. These teams are then asked to submit their solution to QUT, from which - after a rigorous review - the best will be invited to attend QUT’s Gardens Point campus to present their solution to a panel of judges before hearing from industry professionals about the opportunities and rewards a career in accounting offers.
