Which campus should I visit?

Across both campuses, you'll be able to:

  • tour the campus, our libraries and learning hubs, and the Oodgeroo Unit, our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student success unit
  • attend general seminars on getting in, study costs, student life, finances, QUT You, course and career decisions and making the transition to uni
  • find out how to get involved in high-impact research and talk to real students about their real-world research.

Getting to our campuses

Gardens Point

Car

Parking is free but limited and we encourage you to take public transport where possible. Additional free parking is available at Kelvin Grove (and you can catch the free campus shuttle bus to Gardens Point) or you can access paid parking stations across the CBD.

Bus

Walk from the city bus stations, or the Mater Hill or South Bank bus stations (a short walk across the Goodwill Bridge).

Train

Jump off at South Bank train station and walk across the Goodwill Bridge. Or catch a train to Central station and walk down George Street.

Ferry

Catch a CityCat to the QUT Gardens Point ferry terminal.

Kelvin Grove

Car

Free parking is available in F and J block multi-story car parks on Boundary Road, via Herston Road or Victoria Park Road. There are also other smaller open-air car parks on campus, and paid street parking.

Bus

Catch a bus to the QUT Kelvin Grove bus station, located on the Northern Busway. There are also bus stops along Kelvin Grove Road within walking distance to campus.

Train

Catch a train to Roma Street train station and connecting bus to QUT Kelvin Grove bus station.

Getting between campuses — free shuttle bus

Our free shuttle bus will be running at regular intervals from 8am to 3.45pm. The bus trip between campuses takes about 15 minutes. Allow about 45 minutes in total for the bus trip and walking to seminar or tour locations.

An additional loop shuttle bus will be available at Kelvin Grove campus with stops at the J block car part, K block and Z9 block.
