What you'll receive
The Adrian Scott Rural Journalism Scholarship is valued at $8,000 for two years, paid post-census in four instalments.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Adrian Scott Rural Journalism Scholarship applicants must be:
- enrolled in a Bachelor of Communication (including double degrees)
- relocating from a regional, rural or remote area (as per ASGS Remoteness Area Classification)
- enrolled on a full-time basis and commencing in Semester 1, 2025
- undertaking on-campus study
- able to demonstrate financial or social disadvantage.

What happens next?
A scholarship selection panel will assess applications based on merit and equity considerations in a competitive process. If shortlisted, you may be required to attend an interview.

About the scholarship
The Adrian Scott Trust has established a scholarship to support a student from a regional, rural or remote location to undertake study in a Bachelor of Communication at QUT in order to contribute to the knowledge and wellbeing of rural and regional communities in Australia through journalism and related forms of communication.
