What you'll receive
You'll receive:
- a scholarship of $12,500 for one year, paid in two instalments of $6,250.
Eligibility
You must be:
- a female domestic student
- studying in the IF49 - Doctor of Philosophy, in one of the following areas:
- architecture and building
- creative arts
- education
- natural and physical science.
You are particularly encouraged to apply, if:
- you are facing financial hardship
- you are from a regional or remote background.
Note that the successful applicant will need to be available for an award presentation on 5 September 2023.

- experiencing financial hardship
- from a regional or remote area.
Conditions
You must be enrolled in the IF49 - Doctor of Philosophy. The enrolment can be full-time or part-time.
About the scholarship
Philanthropist Dr Laurie Cowled funds this scholarship with the intention of fostering the education of women, particularly from rural or remote backgrounds, who are completing doctoral studies in:
- architecture and building
- creative arts
- education
- natural and physical science.
