What you'll receive
The Mid-Year Research Experience Scheme (MY-RES) offers flexible mid-year research experience options for undergraduate students within the Faculty of Science.
MY-RES is designed to support and engage students in a structured research program in science, mathematics, or information technology. The program provides excellent development opportunities for the transition to HDR study.
You will:
- undertake a research project (60-75 hours) in science, maths or information technology under the supervision of a researcher from the Faculty of Science
- be paid a $1250 scholarship after project work
- complete your research project between 23 June – 15 August 2025 (the timing of project work is flexible within this period and will be determined individually between the student and supervisor).
Eligibility
MY-RES is open to all undergraduate students currently enrolled in a science, information technology or mathematics degree in the Faculty of Science at QUT (including double-degree students).
You are required to have:
- successfully completed 96 CP of your Faculty of Science undergraduate degree
- a minimum GPA of 5.0 is required for your Faculty of Science undergraduate degree (no minimum GPA for Indigenous students).
