What you'll receive
You’ll receive a scholarship valued at $10,000.
The scholarship will be paid as a stipend in two instalments of $5,000 per semester for up to one year, following confirmation of your enrolment after the census date of each semester, commencing Semester 1, 2025.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
- be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent
- be enrolled as a full-time student at QUT (36 credit points or more per semester)
- have a grade point average (GPA) of 4.5 or above
- wish to pursue a career in engineering and construction.
You must be entering your third year and having completed a minimum of 192 credit points in Semester 1, 2025, in the following course:
- EN01 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Civil)
- EN40 Bachelor of Engineering (Civil)
- SE40 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Civil) / Bachelor of Mathematics
- SE60 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Civil) / Bachelor of Information Technology
- SE80 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Civil) / Bachelor of Science
- IX59 Bachelor of Business / Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Civil).
Double degree
Students enrolled in an engineering double degree who have completed a minimum of 192 credit points in engineering, with a major in civil engineering, are also eligible to apply for the scholarship.
How to apply
You need to complete and submit the online application form by Tuesday 11 March 2025.
Your application should include the following attachments:
- a copy of your academic record from HiQ site
- a copy of your resume / curriculum vitae (CV)
- a written response to the application questions.
What happens next?
Lendlease will be involved in the shortlisting process and will conduct interviews with potential recipients.
Conditions
Indigenous Australian applicants that have not previously verified their Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Descent with the QUT Oodgeroo Unit and are applying for an identified scholarship, must also complete the Confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Descent (CATSID) process to confirm eligibility.

About the scholarship
The vision of this scholarship is to encourage Indigenous Australian students to connect their experiences and university studies with Indigenous land and culture.
Lendlease's mission through their Elevate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), titled County, Truth and our Shared Story 2020-2023, outlines the actions that Lendlease is taking to respond to the Uluru Statement from the Heart's call for Voice, Treaty, Truth.
