About the bursary
Regional and remote communities are rich and varied so, for a preservice teacher to be ready to undertake a professional experience placement developing an understanding of the space and a sense of place is important.
The Rural and Remote Education Immersion Program initiative has been created to help students consider the benefits of a rural or remote career and, if they enjoy the experience, consider returning to do a professional experience placement in their final year.
The program has been generously supported by Queensland Department of Education -Education Futures Institute and Morgans Financial.
Please note: This is not a PEx placement, however if you enjoy your experience and wish to return for PEx, you will need to contact the Professional Experience team and inform them of this separately.
