The QUT Excellence Scholarship is our premier offering for high achievers. As well as financial support, the program helps you to make the most of your QUT experience through extra development opportunities.

Creative excellence
If you excel in visual arts of performance, you'll be considered for a QUT Excellence Scholarship (Elite Visual and Performing Arts) as part of your application process.

Creative talent
If your application for a creative industries course involves an audition, portfolio or interview, you’ll be considered for a QUT Excellence Scholarship (Creative Industries).

Sporting distinction
We're recognised by the Australian Institute of Sport and the Australian Sports Commission as an elite athlete-friendly university. The QUT Sport Scholarship (Elite Athlete) offers scholarships for students who excel in sport.

Esports excellence
We're the first university in Australia to offer esports scholarships for League of Legends gamers. The scholarships are offered under the QUT Excellence Scholarships program in the elite athlete category.
Up to $30,000 per scholarship
Each year we award over 140 scholarships to outstanding applicants, worth a total of $3 million. As part of your scholarship, you may also get access to other benefits, including:
- an accelerated program of study
- early access to research opportunities
- membership of the QUT College of Excellence
- access to QUT's Leadership, Development and Innovation Program.
Applications close 20 November
Application closing dates for academic and sports scholarships are final. You can start or continue your application online from the scholarship page until the closing date.
There's no need to apply for our creative and performing arts scholarships. If you're an outstanding applicant, you’ll automatically be considered for our scholarships when you apply for your course.
