The right decision
'Moving to Brisbane from regional New South Wales, I didn’t know anyone in the state, let alone the city. Staying in student accommodation for the first year helped me make new friends, and I now share a house with a few of them. Brisbane has offered new opportunities including internships in radio and social media that I wouldn’t have been able to access if I hadn’t made the move. My number one piece of advice to other students is to visit the city and the university you are considering - at events like Open Day - so you can see first-hand whether it’s for you.'
Convenient campuses
'The greatest part about QUT campuses is the community feel. I can't walk across campus without seeing people I know. It's like a little community with everything you need at your fingertips. And it's easy for me to get to uni by public transport.'
