Extra-curricular activities
When I’m not learning, I am actively engaged in many extra-curricular activities including volunteering, running student clubs’ events, attending international exchange programs and conferences, taking part in competitions to boost my interpersonal skills and enhance my network. I have been volunteering for QUT Connect for one year to help first-year students with their transition into university.
Best location
What I love most about QUT campus life is the combination of modern society and the natural environment. The location in the heart of Brisbane is the best right next to the botanic gardens. I found the best way to fit in to this society is to get yourself a local part time job or join in a club at the Uni.
Real-world learning
The university for the real world is exactly as it says it is. The practicality and the exposure to engineering makes me feel confident to offer my skills to industry every time I learn something! The clubs are so fun and very related to the degree, there's a really large peer support network which is free and always available to help you excel in your studies! Tutorials and lectures are of high quality as they've been reviewed every semester by students to become even better!
