'The teaching team is extremely supportive'
The course was structured well so that students were gradually introduced to new concepts. Also, the teaching team at QUT is extremely supportive, there were no unanswered questions and students were encouraged to ask lots of questions. The supportive environment made me feel comfortable, and I was able to learn concepts of statistics, and how to code.

While I studied a Master of Project Management at QUT, there was a position open at Wagners to work for the Cross River Rail Tunnel Segments Project as quality control inspector. Once I finished my studies, Wagners offered me the opportunity to be a project manager for them, which was the perfect time to apply what I learnt at QUT. I’m so grateful that QUT led me to this opportunity and connected me with the PMI Queensland chapter which has been the best place for me to learn from the project management community in Queensland.
'A big selling point for me was the flexibility'
In my role I lead programs to promote, train, and develop the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander allied health workforce. I studied public health to get an understanding on how to co-design, implement and evaluate public health initiatives. A big selling point for me was the flexibility around the final semester of QUT’s masters program. I completed a dissertation, implementing the skills I learnt, in a topic I am passionate about.
'I am loving my role and feel empowered'
QUT’s Master of Education allowed me to explore many aspects relevant to the guidance and counselling process. I was able to connect with and learn from knowledgeable and approachable lecturers and tutors that inspired me to delve further into my learning. The highlight of the course was being exposed to interesting, realistic and relevant subjects, where I was given the flexibility to research specific topics of interest. I am loving my role as a Guidance Officer and feel empowered to continually utilise and draw upon the knowledge and skills gained from my QUT masters degree.
