Collaborating to build future schools
QUT is proud to be in collaboration with the Queensland Government on the new Fortitude Valley State Secondary College. The Faculty of Education is working closely with the new school to help deliver an innovative and technology-focused approach to teaching and learning.
Teaching in rural and remote communities
QUT education graduates Cath and Casey talk about their fourth-year research project on pre-service teachers’ perspectives on teaching in rural and remote communities.
Research impact
Dr Judith Howard's main research interest involves the impact of trauma on children’s development and their future behaviours. Through her research, online courses, training seminars and consultancy with educators, Judith continues to encourage schools around Australia to adopt a neuroscience informed approach to the behaviour management of trauma surviving students.
Digital play in early childhood education
With increased access to digital technologies, young children are required to make decisions about what information is useful or accurate, and how they might use this information. QUT has developed e-learning modules for early childhood educators to support young children’s learning as they engage in digital play.
