Countdown to race day
Race for a cause: QUT Learning Potential Fund
The QUT Learning Potential Fund provides critical finances through scholarships and bursaries to students at a time when, in many cases, their educational aspirations hang in the balance.
The QUT Classic proudly supports the QUT Learning Potential Fund, which helps students break free from the cycle of poverty and paves the way for a brighter future.
QUT Sport donates a portion from every registration to the QUT Learning Potential Fund, with more than $28,000 raised since 2011.
Before the race
Register
Registrations open in January 2025.
No registrations will be accepted on event day.
Race packs
Your race pack consists of a 2025 QUT Classic t-shirt and numbered race bib.
Race packs can only be collected Thursday to Saturday, 15-17 May 2025. More information will be sent to participants closer to the event.
Race packs cannot be collected on event day.
Bags on event day
There will be a secure location for participants to leave their bags during the race.
During the race
Keep left
Where possible, keep to the left to allow for faster runners to pass easily. Some parts of the course are tight and will require single file. Be aware of runners coming in the opposite direction.
All participants must stick to the footpath and are not to use the adjacent cycle path. Be aware and mindful of members of the public including cyclists.
Parents information
Parents can run with a pram but are asked to start at the back of the race to ensure safety for their child and respect for other competitors.
Running while carrying a child of any age whether in a front or back baby carrier/harness is not permitted during the event, as it poses a substantial safety risk.
Walking while carrying a baby or child is permitted if their safety and welfare is not compromised.
Children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult or guardian.
Pets
Unfortunately, furry friends are not allowed. Registered guide dogs are always welcome.
Headphones
If you choose to wear headphones, you must ensure the volume is at a reasonable level to ensure you can hear instruction from course officials.
Medical aid
Our event day medical team will be on course and at the finish line offering medical assistance.
After the race
Finish line
Once you have crossed the finish line, avoid congregating and keep moving through the finish chute to the recovery area. You do not need to hand back your race number.
Finisher medal
All race finishers receive an eco-friendly finisher medal at the completion of your chosen event.
Recovery stations
Complimentary fresh fruit and water will be available at our recovery stations.
Food and drink
There will be a range of food and drink options available on event day, including QUT student club BBQs and coffee carts.
Timing and results
Official timing and race results will be made available shortly after the race.
