Dynamic forces in systems such as motor vehicles, aircrafts and robotic devices are determined by kinematic and kinetic analysis of these systems. These forces play an essential part in the design of these systems. In this introductory unit, you are introduced to the concepts of dynamics in the context of real engineering systems. The basic principles for dynamics of particles and rigid bodies in 2D are introduced and discussed as related problems within various engineering systems. On completion of this unit, you will be able to apply fundamental principles of kinematics and kinetics in formulating and solving dynamics problems for particles and rigid bodies and analyse kinematics and kinetics of basic mechanical components and mechanisms.","title-full":"EGB211 Dynamics","title-short":"Dynamics","url":{"current":"https://qutvirtual4.qut.edu.au/group/student/enrolment/units/unit?unitCode=EGB211&year=2025","prospective":"https://www.qut.edu.au/study/unit?unitCode=EGB211","timetable":"https://qutvirtual3.qut.edu.au/qvpublic/ttab_unit_search_p.process_teach_period_search?p_unit_cd=EGB211"},"year":2025,"years":[2024,2025]}
