These tools enable us to detect temporal and spatial changes in the physical properties of Earth. Knowledge of material properties such as density, electrical resistivity, magnetisation, elasticity and natural radioactivity is essential for the exploration of minerals, hydrocarbons and groundwater. Beyond exploration geophysical methods are used in disciplines as diverse as plate tectonics, environmental geology, engineering geology, and seismic hazard assessment.","title-full":"ERB302 Applied Geophysics","title-short":"Applied Geophysics","url":{"current":"https://qutvirtual4.qut.edu.au/group/student/enrolment/units/unit?unitCode=ERB302&year=2025","prospective":"https://www.qut.edu.au/study/unit?unitCode=ERB302","timetable":"https://qutvirtual3.qut.edu.au/qvpublic/ttab_unit_search_p.process_teach_period_search?p_unit_cd=ERB302"},"year":2025,"years":[2024,2025]}
