While this discrimination is highly regulated, immune dysfunction can disrupt the balance between protection and uncontrolled inflammation leading to long-term and sometimes devastating chronic immune disease. This unit will develop a deeper understanding of immune regulation theory which is further applied to clinical immune dysfunction case studies. Further knowledge of immune pathway dysregulation in clinical disease is essential not only for understanding disease pathogenesis but also for the development of diagnostic and therapeutic targets.","title-full":"LQB596 Immunology and Immune Dysfunction","title-short":"Immunology and Immune Dysfunction","url":{"current":"https://qutvirtual4.qut.edu.au/group/student/enrolment/units/unit?unitCode=LQB596&year=2025","prospective":"https://www.qut.edu.au/study/unit?unitCode=LQB596","timetable":"https://qutvirtual3.qut.edu.au/qvpublic/ttab_unit_search_p.process_teach_period_search?p_unit_cd=LQB596"},"year":2025,"years":[2025]}
