This first year foundation unit will introduce you to the principles underlying normal physiology as well as the major organ systems of the human body. This knowledge base will help provide an understanding of how the body maintains internal conditions within normal physiological limits and an understanding of how physiology can change during aging and disease processes. You will gain laboratory skills in physiological measurement and be able to interpret the data collected. This unit will provide you with a strong foundation for further studies in physiology, pharmacology, pathology and pathophysiology and will complement studies in anatomy, cell and molecular biology and biochemistry.","title-full":"LSB258 Principles of Human Physiology","title-short":"Principles of Human Physiology","url":{"current":"https://qutvirtual4.qut.edu.au/group/student/enrolment/units/unit?unitCode=LSB258&year=2025","prospective":"https://www.qut.edu.au/study/unit?unitCode=LSB258","timetable":"https://qutvirtual3.qut.edu.au/qvpublic/ttab_unit_search_p.process_teach_period_search?p_unit_cd=LSB258"},"year":2025,"years":[2024,2025]}
