Peoples’ experience of health care, nurses’ therapeutic communication skills and facilitating interactions that represent person-centred care principles are a particular focus. These are key attributes of the registered nurse in contemporary practice, contributing to practice that meets the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and Aged Care Quality Standards, and provides the basis for team and professional leadership for the future. The unit will encourage different ways of thinking, broad perspectives, and evidence-based decision making to inform practice in local and global contexts. The unit complements all first-year units, in particular NSB102 Professional Practice and Cultural Safety and NSB105 Wellness Across the Lifespan.","title-full":"NSB104 Leading and Learning","title-short":"Leading and Learning","url":{"current":"https://qutvirtual4.qut.edu.au/group/student/enrolment/units/unit?unitCode=NSB104&year=2025","prospective":"https://www.qut.edu.au/study/unit?unitCode=NSB104","timetable":"https://qutvirtual3.qut.edu.au/qvpublic/ttab_unit_search_p.process_teach_period_search?p_unit_cd=NSB104"},"year":2025,"years":[2024,2025]}
