However, the sector is constantly changing, and operators in this competitive environment continue to face new challenges. The global pandemic accelerated online shopping and the emergence of entrepreneurial start-ups. The entry of global retailers and online marketplaces have resulted in the decline of some traditional retail formats and brands. Inflationary pressures continue to erode consumer confidence and shift consumption behaviours. Operators have responded to these dynamic market conditions by placing a greater emphasis evidence-based decision making, leading to more sustainable retail formats. Value-added selling, combining corporate social responsibility tactics now underpin contemporary retail strategy. To survive and grow in a competitive marketplace, operators need to understand the changing retail landscape.","title-full":"AMN410 Retail Strategy and Value-Added Selling","title-short":"Retail Strategy and Value-Added Selling","url":{"current":"https://qutvirtual4.qut.edu.au/group/student/enrolment/units/unit?unitCode=AMN410&year=2024","prospective":"https://www.qut.edu.au/study/unit?unitCode=AMN410","timetable":"https://qutvirtual3.qut.edu.au/qvpublic/ttab_unit_search_p.process_teach_period_search?p_unit_cd=AMN410"},"year":2024,"years":[2024]}
