It provides an introduction to key concepts in literary studies. The theories relate to ideas and terminology that you will be expected to become familiar with throughout the course of your study. You are introduced to concepts that form the basis of discussions in a range of academic discourses so that you can engage analytically with texts and their contexts. 'The 'textualisation' of the world has been an important development in twentieth century theory in the West: What are texts' What do they mean' The unit addresses these issues by providing you with an introduction to conceptual frameworks derived from some of the major critical discourses that have impacted on our world.","title-full":"CWB110 Introduction to Literary and Cultural Studies","title-short":"Introduction to Literary and Cultural Studies","url":{"current":"https://qutvirtual4.qut.edu.au/group/student/enrolment/units/unit?unitCode=CWB110&year=2024","prospective":"https://www.qut.edu.au/study/unit?unitCode=CWB110","timetable":"https://qutvirtual3.qut.edu.au/qvpublic/ttab_unit_search_p.process_teach_period_search?p_unit_cd=CWB110"},"year":2024,"years":[2024]}
