Through music, movement/dance, performance-based media, imaginative play, story and drama, children are provided with ways to experience, understand, appreciate and respond to their worlds. In doing so, they develop visual, aural, bodily-kinesthetic, and aesthetic literacies. This unit explores key ideas about effective curriculum, pedagogy, performing arts works and assessment in the performing arts in early childhood education from birth to eight. Your work in this unit will be linked to national and state curricular documents, including the Early Years Learning Framework, Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline and the Australian Curriculum: The Arts.","title-full":"EUB301 Performing Arts in Early Childhood","title-short":"Performing Arts in Early Childhood","url":{"current":"https://qutvirtual4.qut.edu.au/group/student/enrolment/units/unit?unitCode=EUB301&year=2025","prospective":"https://www.qut.edu.au/study/unit?unitCode=EUB301","timetable":"https://qutvirtual3.qut.edu.au/qvpublic/ttab_unit_search_p.process_teach_period_search?p_unit_cd=EUB301"},"year":2025,"years":[2025]}
