These investigations are grounded in understanding 20th and 21st century art practices and key theoretical frameworks in relation to object-making, spatial art, context and site. The expanded field of contemporary sculpture encompasses a broad range of conceptual approaches and material processes including social sculpture, environmental and public art. This unit provides practical activities to develop independent 3D artworks, framed by the theory and practice of site-responsive art and by contemporary Indigenous and ecological perspectives.","title-full":"KAB130 Open Studio: Object/Space","title-short":"Open Studio: Object/Space","url":{"current":"https://qutvirtual4.qut.edu.au/group/student/enrolment/units/unit?unitCode=KAB130&year=2025","prospective":"https://www.qut.edu.au/study/unit?unitCode=KAB130","timetable":"https://qutvirtual3.qut.edu.au/qvpublic/ttab_unit_search_p.process_teach_period_search?p_unit_cd=KAB130"},"year":2025,"years":[2025]}
