It considers the role of the production manager with a particular focus on the phases of pre-production and production. People with an interest in producing film, television and multimedia productions need to develop knowledges and skills that form the basis of an effective industry-related repertoire in relation to working in a range of media businesses. This unit examines how the production manager supports the producer in screen production projects ensuring that the needs of the production have been addressed via a preliminary schedule and draft budget, within all legal and insurance constraints. The unit addresses the importance of working within the resources available in order to achieve the necessary production values on screen in a highly competitive market place.","title-full":"KPB216 Screen Content Production Management","title-short":"Screen Content Production Management","url":{"current":"https://qutvirtual4.qut.edu.au/group/student/enrolment/units/unit?unitCode=KPB216&year=2025","prospective":"https://www.qut.edu.au/study/unit?unitCode=KPB216","timetable":"https://qutvirtual3.qut.edu.au/qvpublic/ttab_unit_search_p.process_teach_period_search?p_unit_cd=KPB216"},"year":2025,"years":[2025]}
