The practical application and theoretical underpinnings of tissue histology is therefore an essential skill for all biomedical scientists. The purpose of this unit is to provide you with the knowledge and understanding of the application of histological techniques routinely used in research laboratories. This unit also provides an opportunity to develop practical skills in a range of histological techniques including tissue sectioning (microtomy), common histochemical stains and immunohistochemistry. The unit is positioned in the advanced phase of the course and builds upon the introductory tissue concepts covered in Human Systematic Anatomy (LQB183) and concepts of tissue adaptation in Developmental Anatomy & Tissue Adaptation (LQB382).","title-full":"LQB671 Histological Research Techniques","title-short":"Histological Research Techniques","url":{"current":"https://qutvirtual4.qut.edu.au/group/student/enrolment/units/unit?unitCode=LQB671&year=2025","prospective":"https://www.qut.edu.au/study/unit?unitCode=LQB671","timetable":"https://qutvirtual3.qut.edu.au/qvpublic/ttab_unit_search_p.process_teach_period_search?p_unit_cd=LQB671"},"year":2025,"years":[2024,2025]}
