The unit further develops the skills and techniques required for the analysis of property investment objectives, strategies, and performance. The students will explore the concepts of return and risk, the discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, the basics of investment decision (NPV, IRR, Financial ratios), measurement of property investment performance, the impact of financing and taxation on investment returns, portfolio theory and the role of real estate in mixed asset portfolios.
