What to expect

Biomedical science is a rapidly evolving area with many exciting career opportunities. Biomedical research and the development of new biomedical products contribute to improving health outcomes worldwide. Governments and organisations, such as pharmaceutical companies and investment banks, continue to invest heavily in this global industry.

The process of introducing new biomedical products into the market for commercial use requires multidisciplinary teams that often include research scientists, engineers, business development specialists, intellectual property lawyers, clinical trials experts, marketing specialists, and legal experts with an understanding of compliance and regulations.

Demand for specialists who have knowledge and skills across a number of these disciplines, such as biomedical science and business, is increasing across local and international markets.
