Jemma's story
'I chose QUT specifically for its double-degree options. I enjoy studying two vastly different subjects within one course. I wanted a life dedicated to continuous learning and a career that allows me to make a positive impact. QUT provides the opportunity for interdisciplinary studies and equips me with the skills needed for a dynamic and impactful career.'
Where science and writing meet
'I have always been interested in animals how much we already know and yet how much more we are to discover about them. I am drawn to the process of discovering more about our world and that is why I chose this course. I also wanted to somehow combine that interest with my other interest in writing. I believe there is a space where both science and writing meet and journalism seems to be the perfect vehicle for that.'
