This vertical double degree is designed for individuals who have a strong interest in science and want to develop advanced skills in data analytics. In this degree, you will gain a solid foundation in science and statistics, and deepen your knowledge in your chosen science major. 

As a graduate of this double degree, you will be proficient in various data analytics tools and techniques, enabling you to generate valuable insights that drive decision-making across a wide range of scientific disciplines.

Science component

We integrate theory and practice with a strong focus on experimental design so you’ll gain real-world scientific expertise from laboratory investigations, field-based observations and data collection. You’ll start hands-on lab, research and fieldwork skills sessions in your first year. Our query-based learning approach will set you up to be employable in a range of industries and work environments, underpinned by your scientific knowledge, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Our research informs our course content. Throughout your studies, you will have the opportunity to learn from world-leading researchers and take advantage of the facilities and equipment they use in their work.

This course will prepare you for a future-focused career in the fast-paced, ever-changing world of data analytics. With a collaborative curriculum across disciplines, you’ll not only learn theories and methods, but you’ll apply that knowledge to predict, forecast, visualise and make decisions in a range of applied areas. Early exit

For those who wish to exit the course early, there are two options available. Upon completion of the required units, students can exit with a Bachelor of Science degree. Alternatively, students may be able to exit with a Graduate Certificate in Data Analytics, which provides a recognised qualification in the field of data analytics. 

These early exit options provide flexibility for students who may wish to enter the workforce or pursue further studies at different stages of their academic journey.
