QUT Giving Day delivers real-world impact
First published 21 March 2022
Since 2018, QUT Giving Day has raised more than $3.7 million from 5,480 generous donors.
On QUT’s third Giving Day in 2021, the QUT community rallied again to support world-changing education, research, and community projects.
Your philanthropy is:
- empowering and supporting students to achieve their higher education goals and ambitions;
- supporting research that will help save lives and generate real-world solutions to protect our environment;
- building a stronger community by supporting budding entrepreneurs, scientists of the future and Indigenous peoples and culture.
Together, we are advancing vital initiatives that will shape the future of our university, our region, and our world. The many collective gifts from alumni, staff, students, and the wider QUT community have had an enormous impact, supporting:
- 111 students in dire circumstances to pursue their dreams of a tertiary education with a Learning Potential Fund scholarship
- Researchers to design and test potential new anti-cancer drugs to treat prostate cancer
- 152 hours of algorithm development for drone and AI systems to detect and save more koalas during bushfires
Thank you for helping us to ‘imagine what’s next’ for education, research and community projects.
